Real estate development and construction are one of the main drivers of economic growth, which has suffered heavily during the global pandemic, but now are facing even bigger challenges and disruptions due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The demand for housing and commercial real estate is up, but so are the costs and demands in the area of sustainability, innovation, energoefficiency that would allow to achieve the ambitious goals set forth by the European Green Deal and reduce Europe’s energy dependence on imported fossil fuels.
The upcoming forum, which will feature prominent speakers from the public sector, including the Mayor of Riga, macroeconomic specialist from Latvijas Banka, renowned experts and leading real estate developers in Latvia, will focus on sustainable and innovative approaches, new materials and design structures that will redefine the real estate and construction in the years to come.
What is the current macroeconomic context, which will affect the future of real estate development in Latvia and the Baltics? How are Nordic investors and real estate developers responding to the current and long-term challenges? What innovative solutions they have up in their sleeves to address the issue of climate change and environmental impact, and respond to the growing demands from their clients and customers?
