Christmas Party 2024

Updated: 2 days ago

The Finnish Chamber of Commerce in Latvia (FCCL) Christmas party has long been a beloved tradition, bringing together FCCL members, Finnish expatriates, and their families for a festive celebration. This year's gathering was particularly special, drawing together our members, their loved ones, and valued clients, making it one of the most well-attended events in recent memory.

Held at the elegant Museum Restaurant within the National Museum of Art of Latvia, the event offered a warm and inviting atmosphere for all attendees. The guest of honor was the Ambassador of Finland to Latvia, H.E. Anne Saloranta, who was accompanied by her spouse, Kari. Their presence added a distinguished touch to the celebration, highlighting the importance of Finnish culture and connections in Latvia.

A highlight of the evening was the appearance of Joulupukki (Santa Claus), who delighted the children with gifts, creating magical memories for the younger guests.

The music at this year's Christmas party was provided by Marko Ojala, the most renowned Finnish musicians in Latvia, whose performance added a special touch to the festive atmosphere.

The festivities continued with an unexpected treat—a lively dance performance by the Latvian vice-champion couple in Latin American dance, adding an exciting and festive element to the evening’s entertainment.

The Christmas Charity Raffle, a centerpiece of the event, drew considerable attention, as it raised funds for a worthy cause. This year, the proceeds will benefit the children of the alternative home Zvannieki, a local institution that provides care and support for vulnerable children. The raffle exemplified the spirit of giving, and it was made possible thanks to the generous support of various sponsors.
